Based on the primary studies of the pollination biology,intra-species morphological differentiation and distribution of Mussaenda pubescens var.pubescens and M.pubescence var.alba, the relationships between the morphological differentiation and environmental adaptation were elucidated. Our observations indicated that the occurrence of M.pubescens var.alba was related to the sympatric distribution of M.erosa, which has yellow flowers and thus compete with M.pubescence var.pubescens for the same pollinators. Our studies suggested that M.erosa and M.pubescens var.pubescens share the same Lepidoptera pollinators, while the effective pollinators of M.pubescens var.alba are Hymenoptera. Primary conclusions could be drawn that the emergence of M.pubescens var.alba is a phenomenon of reproductive character displacement.

Rhodiola fastigiata is national second-class protected species and in approximately endangered states in China. Increment in length and diameter of rhizome per year were measured using vernier caliper(IP54 type)through observing the scape rings formation of R.fastigiata in different altitude areas of Tibet Sejila Mountain, and then the growth characteristics of rhizome were analyzed to determine the age. The results showed that:R.fastigiata form one scape rings in the rhizome yearly, furthermore, there was no significant difference in length and diameter of rhizome increment at different years, whereas with the altitude increase, increment in length and diameter of rhizome per year was declining. The R.fastigiata's age could be determined according to the rhizome growth characteristics, combining with the length of the rhizome. So this result could lay the of foundation for further population structure and dynamics study of R.fastigiata.

In the spring of 2008,the heaviest snow and ice disasters in south China had a tremendous influence on the forest ecosystem and wild animals in afflicted forest area. Shennongjia was also one of the heavy disaster areas as the most eastern of Rhinopithecus roxellana distributing. Based on the former 2 years' field survey data, the plant flora in Rh.roxellana habitats at Shennongjia was analyzed to provide evidence for the biodiversity evaluation after disaster and recovery construction of Rh.roxellana habitats. The field survey found that there are 255 woody plants belonging 44 families 105 genera, which contain arbor 23 families 51 genera 129 species, shrub 22 families 49 genera 113 species and woody climber 7 families 9 genera 13 species. According to the statistics,31 families 58 genera 85 species plants are the feeding plants of Rh.roxellana. 58 genera(accounting for 56.30%)are predominant in number which are the temperate type distribution. 58 genera are the tropical type distribution and 23 genera are the East Asia and China special distribution which account for 21.36% and 22.33% respectively. The above information indicates that this area is a transitional region from subtropical zone to temperate zone. The paper counted up the pedigree of food resources in habitat and analyzed the food resources characteristics of this area as well.

Habitat fragmentation caused by human overexploitation and globe worming was one of the main reasons for the endangered status of many species of Primula. This review tried to provide the theoretical base for primroses protection by summarizing the progress of primrose conservation genetics. The paleontology failed to give information of primroses speciation, while the phylogeography did it well. We also described the latest progress in primroses phylogeographies, and sorted out the patterns of divergence, which is important for precise prediction regarding the response of primroses to global climatic changes.

The UV detection value of A260/A280 was 1.7-1.8 for DNA extracted by this modified CTAB method, obviously higher than that of others, such as 1.1-1.5 for SDS method,1.2-1.5 for CTAB method,1.4-1.6 for SDS-CTAB method.
